No sooner had Treasurer Scott Bardell sent out the member billings for 2nd quarter than alert member (and golf tournament organizer) Bob Olsen noticed that he had not been billed for items purchased in connection with the event that he had charged to his account. He contacted the guilty party (secretary Bob Tholkes), who immediately realized that very few golf tourney-related charges had been billed. Scott has generously consented to issue updated billings to the members involved, and Bob T. apologizes for the problem. If you charged anything at the tourney to your account (or think you may have), please wait for the updated billing before paying your second quarter bill.
24 members and exchange student Pascal Bohner attended the breakfast of September 6 and heard Kelli Bourgeois's classification talk. Kelli has spent most of her life in the St. Cloud area, but she now lives in Elk River. She's a graduate of St. Cloud Apollo Hiigh, St. Cloud State University, and Hamilne Law. She is currently HR Director/Assistant City Manager for the city of Columbia Heights. Previous employers in local government were in Sioux Falls, SD, and Becker, MN, and since passing the bar in 2013, has done legal work for Becker and for the city of Princeton, MN. She mentioned as a career highlight Columbia Height's achievement of All-America City status in 2016.
Kelli has two teenage daughters and two teenage stepdaughters. With her husband she enjoys snowbirding to southern locales, Twins' games, fishing, hunting, and music. She shares his vintage snowmobile avocation.

Volunteers were sought for Saturday the 9th for Banfill-Locke's fall festival.
Wally showed a photo of Craig Malm, who is in Washington State for his trail hike in support of his Stomp Out Polio initiative.
Tim Blank announced that the Literacy Committee decided to continue the Dictionary Project, with improvements in branding and messaging. Volunteers will be needed for distribution, dates TBA.
Patty Halvorson noted that four members have signed up to fill the club's table at Lee Carlson's Oct. 19 Music for the Mind fundraiser. Four more are wanted.
Scott Lund was congratulated for a successful first 5:01 meeting; another will be scheduled in a few months.
Wally announced that District Governor Kyle Haugen of Prior Lake will provide the program next week, September 13,
Wally also issued a reminder of the club's tree-planting effort on Saturday, September 23, which will involve the National Honor Societies of Columbia Heights and Fridley High Schools.
