ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
The stash of cash in the Fine Jar yielded $478 for Rotary International’s Polio Plus fund.
 
The club board on Feb. 3 had a productive 1-hour meet:
  1. $200 was donated to HeightsNext, the Columbia Heights community foundation, to defray costs of the January 30 SnowBlast event held to kick off Heights’s 2021 Centennial celebration.
  2. Candidates were nominated for club leadership positions for the 2021-22 year beginning July 1. The slate will be presented and voted on at the meeting of Feb.17.
  3. The membership application of Josh Callahan of Fridley was approved. He will be inducted on Feb. 17. Welcome Josh!
  4. Initial contacts were reported in pursuit of a possible Rotary Global Grant project in Mexico through the nonprofit agency Homes of Hope. See its website, https://www.ywamhomesofhope.org/mexico, for information.

Members may sign up to deliver groceries for SACA on any Saturday in Febuary at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040548a8ab29Ona7f49-saca2. If you will be driving, provide your insurance card and driver’s license for SACA to copy for its records.
 
The club will meet only on the first and third Wednesdays of the months from December through March.
 
Programs coordinator Gordon Backlund has asked for suggestions for meeting programs for June.
 
The Refuge golf course has been reserved for the next Golf Classic, on July 19, 2021. Save the date and line up your foursome!
