PROGRAM

19 members, including 6 on Zoom, heard club Rotary Foundation committee Norma Jean Falink detail the work of the highly regarded foundation, which annually earns a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator for its record of using 91% of its proceeds for grants. Falink described the foundation, which operates all major service activities, as the “heart of Rotary”, combining compassion and action to achieve Rotary’s several service missions. The foundation received $96 million dollars in 2020-21. Following the presentation, members Steve Klaers and Ed Higgins added their names to the list of members contributing quarterly through their billing invoices. Contact Secretary Bob Tholkes to take advantage of this longtime club service.
