23 members, visiting Rotarian Mark Erjavek of the Kiev, Ukraine, International Club, STRIVE Coordinators Jim Cummings (Fridley) and Scott Roehm (Columbia Heights), Columbia Heights STRIVE students Laura Smith, Precious Caldwell, Neavah Lindsey, and Araseli Diaz Gonzalez, and Jim's graduate-school intern Marian Winslow heard Stillwater Sunrise Rotary Club STRIVE coordinator Brent Voight describe his club's STRIVE mentoring program. Our club hopes to have such a program in place in 2019-20 to increase the effectiveness of our STRIVE scholarship program.
Greg Schraufnagel reminded of the Golf classic, now 4 1/2 months away, and the need for foursomes and sponsors.
Steve Klaers reminded of the STRIVE field trip on Friday and asked for volunteers to accompany the students.
President josh Lund thanked Greg for once again making the chili for the Lee Carlson Center chili cookoff last Friday. The club did not win the cookoff, but the chili all vanished!
Craig Malm reminded of the the Aliina/Bikes for Kids bike giveaway to be held in April.

The "Taste of Fridley" a fundraiser for the spring Fridley Middle School East Coast trip, will be held this Friday, March 8, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Banquets of MN in Fridley. $25 at the door, $20 in advance.

The Alexandra House Hope Gala will take place on Saturday, March 30 at Leopold’s Mississippi Gardens, 9500 W River Rd, Brooklyn Park. The club has purchased a table for 6. Contact club Secretary Bob Tholkes at 763-913-4453 if interested in attending at the club’s table. 4 places remain.
