PROGRAM
Begorra, 20 members, including 12 on Zoom, heard Prior Lake Rotary member Rick Olson speak on his club’s ongoing Rotary Global Grant projects at the Nakivale Refugee Settlement in Uganda. The projects aim to help ameliorate the grim conditions at the settlement, which shelters 140,000 people from the surrounding nations. Rick reviewed the settlement’s history, operation, and needs. It is primarily supported by the United Nations; Prior Lake’s projects focus on water, sanitation, and literacy. The club board will take up the question of donating to its grant at its board meeting April 7.
