INVOCATION
Gordon Backlund: During this period of dealing with the pandemic let us remember the 4 Way Test and give us the guidance to use our time and talents to help others where we can.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Vern Hoium: Here is a thought by Winston Churchill that he made in l940 which is equally valid today.  "I see great reason for intense vigilance and exertion, but none what ever for panic and despair."

HAPPY FINES
Brian Weierke- On May 29 the FPD donated 16 bikes to Bikes 4 Kids on behalf of the Fridley/Columbia Heights Rotary Club.  The club purchases the bikes from the City of Fridley for $2.00 each.

Amada Simula- I joined District 5960 for the Special Edition weekly eature, "Testing: the Key to Our Future" Sponsored by Blaine Ham Lake and Prior Lake Clubs. I learned about what is happening on the front line on COVID testing from Kate Johansen, Director of State Policy and Government Engagement for Mayo Clinic, and Dr. Tim Schacker, Vice Dean of Research at the Medical School - University of Minnesota. It was interesting and hopeful but also scary that we aren't able to do anything to halt the virus. Stay safe everyone.

n.b. the announcements of District 5960 video features are emailed to all members.
